These images were all taken whilst attending the Seychelles SUBIOS International Film Festival October 10th - 17th 2004. Alan was the Digital Image winner in 2003 which resulted in a free return trip to compete in SUBIOS 2004, hence the reason we were in the Seychelles.
One of the above images, a picture of the Whale Shark, was the winning Image of the "SUBIOS Shoot Out" 2004 and will result in yet another Free return trip to compete in SUBIOS 2005 which will take place May 19th- 22nd 2005 details on this competition can be found on the www.subios.sc. Alan will also be running a trip to the Seychelles in September 2005. Follow the link for more information.
The whale shark images were all taken following a Whale Shark tagging programme, which is carried out by the Marine Conservation Society Seychelles using a Microlite aircraft to greatly aid the Whale Shark sighting further details can be found about the Whale Shark tagging programme and other MCSS details by logging on to the www.mcss.sc site
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the dive centres that allowed Heather & myself to Dive with them throughout the SUBIOS "Shoot Out " but a special really BIG THANK YOU goes to David & Glynis from The Underwater Centre in Seychelles & the MCSS for both their hospitality and for giving both Heather & myself the opportunity to see for the First time, & to capture images of these amazing creatures for further details on the Underwater Centre please visit the web site www.diveseychelles.com.sc.
All images were taken with a Nikon D100 in a Sea & Sea DX D100 Housing
using the Nikon 12-24mm Zoom lens. All the Whale Shark images were taken
